Department Seminar: Speaking in- and outside academic norms. Linguistic capital in vocational education in Denmark

Pia Quist is a Professor in the Department of Nordic Studies and Linguistics at the University of Copenhagen who conducts research on sociolinguistics with specialization in dialects, multilingualism, language and gender, youth and language, language in the city, and language and social and geographical mobility.

Her research has been funded by the Independent Research Fund Denmark, the Velux Foundation, and the Carlsberg Foundation. She also contributes insights from her research as a columnist in Weekendavisen and serves on the Board of the University of Copenhagen.
